All-District/All-State Awards
The Association recognizes outstanding achievement among the athletes of our sport. Each year, member and non-member coaches are given the opportunity to nominate players for All-District and All-State awards.
These awards originate locally as selection committees across the state use their knowledge of area players to make selections based on information submitted by the coaches of their districts. Coach participation is vital to this process. If the coach (member or non-member) does not participate, recognition of worthy players becomes difficult.
The selection committees consist of Association members from all four classifications who demonstrate superior knowledge of the game and its participants.
Timeline for the process.
April 1: District committees are established prior to this date.
Standard application for all-district/all-state nominations is made available on website with instructions.
Last Friday of regular season: Applications for all-district/all-state must be received by the district chairpersons by this date.
Prior to the state finals weekend: All-District teams are finalized by each individual district. Applications to be considered for all-state are then forwarded to the all-state selection committee with recommendations from the districts. District information must be turned in by State Finals weekend. A composite list will be assembled by the Association and released to the puplic by June 15.
The Friday following the State Games or the Friday just prior to July 4th week: All-state team is selected by this date. A list of All-State recipients will be released to the public as soon as it can be compiled following selections by the All-State committee.
